FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I think I am pregnant, will you help me?
Yes. We provide early detection pregnancy tests, verified by an RN. If the test is positive, we can perform an ultrasound as early as 6 weeks after conception. If it is negative, we can provide counseling to help you make decisions for your future.
Why should I come to Helping Hands?
Simply: we will be nice to you. We have heard countless times that Helping Hands is one of the few places where people will be treated with kindness and respect. Our desire is to help you go where you want to go in life.
We live in a small town, will others find out I went to Helping Hands?
No, all of our services and conversations are confidential. If you are a minor, we will make a plan to help you tell your parents about your visit if medically necessary.
What makes Helping Hands different than other community resources?
Helping Hands does not receive any type of government funding and is considered a faith-based organization; therefore we can share Christ’s plan for salvation and share our faith in God when it is appropriate and accepted.
Do you just help pregnant women?
No. We meet women and their families in a variety of pregnancy needs, materials assistance, or pregnancy test requests and use that as a start to building a relationship.
What about the fathers?
We feel equally as strong about serving the fathers as we do the mothers. We have a man on staff, male volunteers, and a men’s small group that meets weekly to help men where they are at in life.
What do you “do” at Helping Hands?
Our programs and services are designed to initiate the start of a relationship with women and men and their families that walk through our doors. Life was never meant to be done alone. Women and men who work with us earn credits in our #lifetogther program to “purchase” material assistance for their child(ren).

Is there a cost for your services?
No. All of our services and programs are free to anyone.
Do I need to make an appointment before I come in?
No, but it does help us ensure the right person is here to help you.
